COVID has shed a spotlight on the US healthcare system in many ways. One of the most heavily-debated policies has been the notion of Medicare for All – but how well is it understood? What has COVID revealed about our current healthcare system? Can M4A still happen in a Biden administration, and if not, when? To answer these questions, I wanted to turn to two people intimately familiar with the topic: Dr. Abdul El-Sayed & Dr. Micah Johnson, the authors of Medicare for All: A Citizen’s Guide.

Dr. El-Sayed is the former Detroit health commissioner, a progressive activist, CNN commentator, and host of America Dissected; Dr. Johnson is a Boston-based physician, healthcare researcher, and policy advisor.
